One empathizes with much of what is stated here,but there is a lot of naivete involved in notion that intiatives like this one can deal with these issues.It's not simply a question of a particular government spying on its citizens.All of the major powers are spying on their own and their neighbour's citizens and what about private players,corporations,hackers,criminal networks.
The genie is out of the bottle.
